Formosah is a singer, performer and producer from Rio de Janeiro. Inspired by the idea that “Brazil is a culture at every corner”, she has being developing several projects in Berlin's International Music scene, since she moved to Germany in 2014. "Sambada de Coco" is one of them, a musical project which investigated the popular Brazilian dance and rhythm Coco, a special rhythm with clear African influences, as well as indigenous traits. Another project is La Byle, a musical group, formed by three members from different cultures rhythms – funk from Rio de Janeiro, electronic, rap and pop music. All of these projects try to show a part of Brazilian culture not yet discovered in Berlin. Nowadays, she has founded Arrudas Produções, which has already produced projects in Maze, Quilomboallee, Panke and Badehaus, bringing Brazilian black artists to Germany, such as Xênia França. In 2020 she participated as a performer in the theater play "Die Kränkungen der Menschheit", by Anta Helena Recke at the Hebbel an Ufer, Berlin, Playblack by Joana Tischkau: - Kampnagel, Hamburg and We Work in the Dark with Luiza Prado & Obaro Ejimiwe: - Kampnagel, Hamburg (2022). In 2021 she launched herself as a solo singer. She has been producing songs with her own compositions.
